Winter Olympics Day 5
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better…. Mother Nature is wreaking havoc on the Olympic organizing committee while serving up a little slice of heaven for all of those interested in venturing out into the elements. This morning we were greeted with sideways rain in Whistler Village and over a foot of fresh powder at the top of Blackcomb/Whistler. Realizing that training was NOT an option, G and I suited up for a great day of free skiing. On our journey we ran into Melanie Turgeon (World Champion Gold Medalist DH), Kaylin Richardson (US Ski Team & 2010 Olympic Member), and Thomas Sykora (Ex-Austrian National Team – 9x World Cup Sl Winner).
Can’t wait to see what tomorrow has to offer!
